Unique Utilities Limited (UUL) was incorporated on 22nd November 2021 to actively engage in the provision of effective and efficient services in the Power, Water, Communication and Gas sectors of Nigerian economy. This is sequel to the identification of huge demand-supply gap that prevails in the nation’s public utility sectors with attendant negative repercussion on its economic and social development as manifested by the growing insecurity bedevilling every part of the country.

Dr. Abdullahi Garba
Dr. Abdullahi Garba is a seasoned Electrical Engineer with over 35 years of experience encompassing design, planning and project management roles. His expertise lies in Transmission and Distribution Systems, Network Planning, Power Systems Protection, and Transient Analysis, as well as the deregulation and optimization of power systems. With a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, earned in 2008, Dr. Garba also holds an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering with Business (2001) from the same institution, along with an HND in Electrical Power Engineering obtained from Kaduna Polytechnic in 1986.
Dr. Garba's proficiency extends to modeling renewable energy sources within intricate networks and conducting comprehensive system studies. He is adept at utilizing various commercial software such as Powerworld, Matlab, PSS/e, IPSA+, DigSILENT, SKM-PTW, ETAP, and CYMAP (MEP) for power systems modeling and analysis. Furthermore, his project management experience within the electricity industry spans from conceptualization to implementation, complemented by a strong grasp of industrial control systems and PLC protocols.
Known for his ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, Dr. Garba excels in maintaining client-engineer relationships and producing reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. His knowledge encompasses dynamic behaviors of complex power systems, electricity markets, and power systems economics, including metering issues. Alongside his technical prowess, Dr. Garba possesses excellent IT skills and a penchant for swiftly acquiring new software proficiencies. As a COREN Registered Engineer with registration number R20,036, Dr. Abdullahi Garba continues to make significant contributions to the field of Electrical Engineering through his multifaceted expertise and dedication to innovation.
